Designer Ceiling Fan

 In Blog

Earlier, ceiling fans were only meant to deliver what they are supposed to – air circulation. Design and attractiveness wasn’t a big issue then. Ceiling fans were thus, simplistic in design. But times have changed and so have the needs of consumers. Today, when it comes to ceiling fans, consumers need not only the functioning but also the design and fancy factor. Hence, the designs of ceiling fans have become much more varied and diverse over the years.

Different fan manufacturers deck their products with unique styles and designs to set them apart from one another. Ceiling fan blades, motor housing, their colors, light kit compartments, are all the various tenets of the design of a ceiling fan. Designer ceiling fan manufacturers focus on both, the performance of the fan as well as its overall appeal. They experiment with the styles, the materials of the blades, and the several minute fixtures that go with a fan such as the motor housing, the mounting brackets, the screws, and the light unit.

While some designer fans draw inspiration from vintage styles and fashion, the more modern ones take on a minimalist approach with futuristic and sleek designs. The finish of these fans also differ. They may have a polished and shimmery finish or a matte finish with an anti-dust coating. Wood, brass, aluminum, copper and zinc alloy are used to fashion the fan blades of designer ceiling fans. Fans with wooden blades look very classy while fans with metal blades are imparted with different finishes to make them look appealing. The fans that are more modern in look have unique blade styles and angles.

Vintage designer ceiling fans are often very ornamental with beautiful and artistic patterns crafted onto the motor housing and the fan brackets. Many models come with fancy and stylish lights with golden or silver pull chains dangling from them.

The logic behind designer ceiling fans is plain and simple – attractiveness along with quality performance. These fans are specially crafted to enhance the style quotient of your home, and hence, they are a tad costlier than regular ceiling fan models. But when the performance and looks are on point, a designer ceiling fan is definitely a worthy addition to your home.
