GRIHA Council is a joint initiative of Ministry of New Renewable Energy, Government of India & The Energy and Resources Institutes (TERI) to implement GRIHA, Indian national rating system for sustainable habitats. GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) is a rating tool that helps people assesses the performance of their building against certain nationally acceptable benchmarks. Human habitats effect environment in various ways, from construction to operation and even after demolition. It uses a lot of resources such as water, energy, material etc and leaves wastes either directly in the form of municipal waste or indirectly with the emissions from electricity generation.GRIHA attempts to minimize a building’s resource consumption, waste generation and overall ecological impact to within certain nationally acceptable limits and to best possible extents.
GRIHA has now certified Atomberg Technology’s first ever consumer segment appliance, Atomberg Fan and has been included in the GRIHA catalogue under the categories: GRIHA V. criterion: 8 & GRIHA V criterion: 13 & SVAGRIHA criterion: 6 (above BEE 3 star labeled).
Atomberg Fan now can be used in GRIHA & SVAGRIHA registered projects to meet the GRIHA & SVAGRIHA norms, respectively. We will pre-install the fans in the certified habitats by GRIHA to consume very less electricity to eliminate the emissions from excessive electrical generation. We created Atomberg to consume less and give more. Know more about Atomberg Fan.
GRIHA has a system developed to help ‘Design and Evaluate’ new buildings (buildings that are still in inception stages. These buildings are assessed based on their predicted performance over their entire lifecycle- inception through operations. Know more
We are more than happy to be a part of GRIHA council to help reduce the energy consumption without sacrificing the comfort level and enhance image and marketability.
