Crunchy Delight: Dry Peanut Chutney & Masala Peanut Butter Recipe
Equipment Required
- Atomberg Mixer Grinder
- Roasting pan
- A wooden Spoon
- Mixing bowl
-
Air-tight glass container
Method of Preparation
- Begin by dry roasting 500 grams of peeled peanuts in a roasting pan over medium heat.
- Stir them frequently to ensure even roasting.
- Roast the peanuts until they turn golden brown and emit a fragrant aroma, typically 5-7 minutes. Be careful not to over-roast them, as this can affect the taste of the chutney.
- Once the peanuts are roasted, transfer them to a mixing bowl.
- Add salt to taste and 1-2 teaspoons of chilli powder, depending on your spice preferences. Adjust the amount of chilli powder according to your desired level of spiciness.
- Roast 5-7 cloves of garlic until they are lightly browned and aromatic. You can do this by placing the cloves in the same roasting pan used for peanuts and roasting them for a few minutes until they soften and develop a roasted flavour.
- Add the roasted garlic cloves to the mixing bowl containing the peanuts, salt, and chilli powder.
- Mix all the ingredients well to ensure that the flavours are evenly distributed.
- Transfer the mixture to the Atomberg Mixer Grinder.
- Use the "Coarse Mode" to grind the mixture to a coarse texture. This helps achieve the traditional silbatta-like texture, reminiscent of home-style cooking, enhancing the overall taste and mouthfeel of the peanut chutney.
- Once the chutney is ground to the desired texture, transfer it to an air-tight glass container.
To make the Masala Peanut Butter, all you need to do is follow an extra step.
- Take half of the coarse peanut chutney mixture that you prepared earlier.
- Place it in the Atomberg Mixer Grinder.
- Gradually add oil while grinding until you achieve the desired creamy and spreadable consistency.
- Continue grinding until the mixture transforms into a smooth and buttery paste.
- Transfer the masala peanut butter to a clean and dry container.
- Store it in the refrigerator to preserve its freshness and flavour for longer period of time.
